At a balanced 5,000 K color temperature and a high CRI of 90, the Octo 3500 reproduces color with remarkable accuracy, bringing out rich tones and textures in coral reefs, wrecks, and marine life. 

Designed for simplicity and endurance, it features three power levels that you can cycle through via a single intuitive button. Powering the unit are two protected 18650 lithium-ion batteries, providing up to 70 minutes of continuous runtime — about 50 minutes at full output and another 20 minutes of safety ramp-down. 

The body is sealed with a triple O-ring system to ensure robustness and reliability during dives.  The Octo 3500 integrates seamlessly with Backscatter’s Color Filter System, and you can expand its creative potential with the optional Backscatter Video Light Excitation (fluorescence) Filter — perfect for capturing glowing critters and surreal “fluoro” effects. 

Other thoughtful touches include a simple LED battery indicator (green/yellow/red) so you always know how much power remains, and an SOS mode for signaling, making this not just a brilliant video tool, but a practical safety companion.
