The Smart Charger for Ikelite Li-Ion (2nd Gen) accepts variable voltage in the 100-240V range and includes AC adapters for US, Europe, UK and Australia. Ā This charger is compatible with lithium ion battery packs only.
The newer Smart Charger for Li-Ion (2nd Gen) is safe for use with Lithium Ion (1st Gen) battery packs but will not provide charge termination feedback via the LED indicator light. Ā The Smart Charger for Li-Ion (1st Gen) may be used with this newer battery pack but may reduce the lifetime of the battery. Ā For easy reference, chargers and compatible battery packs are color coded to each other.
Existing NiMH and NiCad batteries are forward-compatible with new strobes. Ā Please note that Smart Chargers designed for NiMH or Ni-Cad batteries cannot be used with Li-Ion technology.
